CM Stalin launches statewide projects in Education, Tourism, Industry, and Welfare

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Monday inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for several major development projects across the state through a video conference from the Secretariat in Chennai. The projects span multiple sectors including infrastructure, education, tourism, welfare, industry, and temple development.

Under the Department of Law, Stalin inaugurated the newly built academic and administrative blocks at the Government Law College in Madurai, constructed at a cost of ₹48.20 crore. He also unveiled a new library building with ground plus two floors at the Government Law College, Vellore, built at a cost of ₹6.46 crore.

In the tourism sector, the Chief Minister inaugurated four completed projects worth ₹7.46 crore at Jawadhu Hills in Tiruvannamalai District, Ponnaniyar Dam in Karur District, and Kolli Hills in Namakkal District. These initiatives aim to upgrade the destinations to international standards under the Department of Tourism, Culture, and Religious Endowments. Additionally, he laid the foundation stone for five new tourism projects estimated at ₹16.30 crore.

Under the Department of Welfare and Women's Rights, Stalin inaugurated “Aran” shelter homes for transgender persons at Senai Nagar in Chennai and Anna Nagar in Madurai, constructed at a total cost of ₹43.88 lakh.

For the Department of Industries, Investment Promotion, and Commerce, the Chief Minister inaugurated 16 new childcare centres in SIPCOT industrial parks. He also unveiled two major food processing projects: the Tindivanam Mega Food Park in Villupuram District, developed at a cost of ₹120 crore, and the Theni Mega Food Park in Theni District, established at a cost of ₹70 crore.

Under the Department of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments, Stalin laid the foundation stones for four new temple development projects and an Assistant Commissioner’s office with a total cost of ₹43.20 crore. He also inaugurated 13 completed renovation works in seven temples and offices worth ₹48.81 crore.

Furthermore, the Chief Minister distributed offer letters to 16–83 candidates selected by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) for posts including Assistant Engineer (Electrical), Junior Draughting Officer, and Assistant.

These projects collectively represent a multi-sectoral development initiative by the Tamil Nadu government, encompassing education, welfare, industry, tourism, and religious infrastructure.
