CM Revanth unveils ‘Telangana Thalli’ statues across district collectorates

As part of the Telangana Thalli Avatarana celebrations, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Tuesday virtually unveiled newly installed Telangana Thalli statues at district collectorate premises across the state. The event was conducted from the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025 venue in Hyderabad, hosted at Bharat Future City, and simultaneously linked to all district centres.

Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, several ministers, and delegates from India and abroad attended the ceremony, adding grandeur to the occasion. The Chief Minister extended festive greetings to international representatives participating in the summit, noting that the Telangana Thalli celebrations highlight the state’s culture, heritage, and sense of identity. Having the event take place in the presence of global industrial leaders, he said, was a moment of pride for Telangana.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said Telangana Thalli symbolizes the aspirations of the people, and her spirit guides the government’s work every day. He reaffirmed that the administration is committed to fulfilling the hopes of all communities - Dalits, Adivasis, tribals, minorities, and others. The unveiling of the statues across the state, he said, reflects this commitment.

Revanth Reddy also recalled the historic day of December 9, 2009, when, under the leadership of UPA (United Progressive Alliance) chairperson Sonia Gandhi and then Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, the Union government initiated the first official step toward the formation of Telangana. That decision, he said, honoured the aspirations of four crore people and restored the region’s self-respect.

Last year, the government unveiled the Telangana Thalli statue at the state Secretariat, and this year, the installations have been expanded to all district collectorates, marking another milestone for the state. A total of 33 statues have been set up at a cost of ₹5.8 crore, with each statue costing around ₹17.5 lakh. The statues stand 18 feet tall.
