Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed officials to strengthen the public grievance redressal system in the state and expand ‘Prajavani’ services to the grassroots level . He took these key decisions during a high-level review meeting held at MCRHRD, attended by Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao and senior CMO officials.

Noting that ‘Prajavani’ is currently being conducted successfully every Tuesday and Friday at the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Praja Bhavan in Hyderabad, the Chief Minister said the initiative should now be taken closer to the people . He instructed officials to launch ‘Prajavani’ at the revenue division level immediately , followed by expansion to the mandal level , so that people from remote areas need not travel to Hyderabad.

He also directed that officials at all levels be given adequate powers to ensure speedy disposal of grievances . Every complaint must be registered without fail , forwarded to the concerned department, and its progress communicated to the petitioner , he emphasised. The Chief Minister ordered that clear timelines be set for grievance redressal and warned that delays would be held accountable .

To streamline the process, he instructed the development of an integrated digital platform with real-time monitoring at district and state levels. He also called for the creation of dedicated dashboards to track the progress of complaints.

The Chief Minister further directed the appointment of nodal officers at every level and the establishment of special units district-wise to manage ‘Prajavani’. He suggested implementing an auto-escalation mechanism , ensuring that unresolved grievances are automatically moved to higher authorities. If required, an appeal system should also be introduced.

Launched on December 8, 2023 , soon after the government assumed office, the ‘Prajavani’ programme has so far resolved thousands of petitions . The Chief Minister expressed confidence that decentralising the system would reduce pending cases at district and state levels and enhance public trust in the government . He directed officials to maintain strict standards in grievance redressal and conduct regular reviews of pending issues without compromise.
