
CM Revanth Reddy Promises Lush Vikarabad with Godavari Irrigation
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has promised to transform Tandur, Parigi, and Vikarabad regions into lush green agricultural hubs using Godavari river waters . Addressing a massive public meeting in Narayanapur village, Vikarabad district , on Saturday as part of the “Praja Palana – Pragati Baata” program, he outlined several key commitments for district development.
The Chief Minister assured that the Maktal, Narayanapeta, and Kodangal lift irrigation projects would be completed within the next three years, providing irrigation to approximately 1.5 lakh acres of farmland. Regarding the reservoir at Lakshmidevipalli , he said the government is fast-tracking land acquisition and formulating special plans to complete the project efficiently.
He also stated that underground drainage work in Tandur town will be completed, along with the implementation of a clean water supply system from Kagna . Additionally, the road from Appa Junction to Manneguda via Tandur is expected to be finished within a year.
Highlighting broader infrastructure plans, CM Reddy emphasized the rapid completion of TRR (Triple R – Regional Ring Road) radial roads , which are critical for Telangana’s development. The government is also working toward transforming Vikarabad into an international tourism hub . He urged public cooperation, noting that despite multiple challenges, the government remains committed to progressive governance and state development.
The Chief Minister also underlined the government’s focus on constitutional values, unemployed youth, and women’s welfare , detailing several welfare initiatives. During the event, he handed over bank linkage and Stree Nidhi cheques worth ₹567.69 crore to representatives of 6,650 self-help groups in Vikarabad district.
The public meeting was attended by several dignitaries, including Legislative Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar , Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha , and Legislative Council Chief Whip Dr. Patnam Mahender Reddy , among others.
