CM Revanth Reddy Meets Sonia Gandhi, Presents Telangana Rising 2047 Vision

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Monday met Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi and personally handed over a copy of the Telangana Rising 2047 vision document, outlining the state’s long-term development roadmap.

During the interaction, the Chief Minister briefed Sonia Gandhi on the outcomes of the recently concluded two-day Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025 , held at Bharat Future City on December 8 and 9. The summit showcased Telangana’s ambitions to emerge as a major economic and investment destination.

Sonia Gandhi lauded the initiative and extended her best wishes to the people of Telangana, stating that the summit and the Vision 2047 document would play a crucial role in advancing the state’s developmental goals. She described the summit as a platform for promoting promising projects and inclusive growth, and highlighted its potential to help Telangana move towards becoming a USD 1 trillion economy by 2034 , ahead of the broader 2047 targets.

Revanth Reddy said Sonia Gandhi’s encouraging words would motivate the state government to work harder to realise the collective aspirations of the people and ensure effective implementation of the Telangana Rising 2047 roadmap.

The Telangana Rising Global Summit brought together global leaders, business representatives, diplomats, and representatives of over 500 companies to deliberate on investment opportunities, innovation, infrastructure development, technology, and human capital growth. The Davos-style forum aimed to position Telangana as a competitive and future-ready player on the global stage.

At the summit, the state government unveiled several strategic initiatives aligned with the Vision 2047 framework, which sets ambitious targets, including transforming Telangana’s economy into a USD 3 trillion powerhouse by the centenary of India’s Independence.

The vision document emphasises balanced regional development through the CURE–PURE–RARE model , focusing on Core Urban, Peri-Urban, and Rural Agriculture economies to ensure equitable growth across urban and rural regions.

The summit also featured key policy announcements and sectoral roadmaps, including a dedicated road sector policy to enhance statewide connectivity, an eco-tourism and cultural tourism framework, and plans to develop Hyderabad into a global life sciences hub by 2047.
