CM Revanth Reddy Meets HBS Students After Class, Shares Telangana Vision

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is currently in the United States attending an executive leadership programme at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government , marking a notable academic engagement by a serving Indian state leader.

The course, titled “Leadership for the 21st Century: Chaos, Conflict, and Courage,” is an intensive, week-long executive education programme designed for senior leaders, professionals and public officials from around the world. It focuses on real-world leadership challenges, adaptive decision-making, and collaborative problem-solving using case studies, group work, presentations and discussions. Participants come from more than 20 countries across five continents .

Reddy began the programme on January 25, 2026 , and classes are scheduled to run through January 30, 2026 , with daily sessions starting early and extending into the evening. He is fully participating in lectures, assignments, group projects and classroom activities alongside global peers a rare achievement for a sitting chief minister from India. On completion, he is expected to receive a course certification from Harvard University .

While pursuing his academic commitments, the Chief Minister also took time to engage with Indian students from the Harvard Business School (HBS) at their invitation. After finishing his classes and assignments on an exceptionally busy day, he met with a group of predominantly Indian students to discuss their career aspirations, professional challenges and global outlooks .

During the interaction, Reddy shared his personal mantra for success and spoke about leadership, perseverance and adapting to complex environments. He also highlighted the key features of the government’s “TelanganaRising” vision , encouraging students to use their international networks, talent and experience to contribute to India’s growth story and to act as brand ambassadors for Hyderabad and Telangana .

In addition to academic engagement and student dialogue, Reddy has held discussions with senior Harvard academics on potential collaborations to enhance education and skills development in Telangana. These discussions included exploring frameworks for modern skill training, educational innovation and human resource development that align with global best practices.

Following completion of the leadership course, Reddy is expected to return to Hyderabad by early February 2026 , ahead of his scheduled political engagements, including the launch of the municipal election campaign starting February 3 .

The visit highlights a growing trend of Indian political leaders participating in international executive programmes as part of broader efforts to expand global networks, learn contemporary governance practices, and promote regional opportunities to international audiences.
