

CM Revanth Reddy Meets Employees’ JAC, Announces Key Decisions
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Saturday held a key meeting with the Employees’ Joint Action Committee (JAC) at the Secretariat in Hyderabad. The meeting focused on long-pending demands , unresolved issues, revision of allowances, and health cards for government employees.
Following the discussions, the Chief Minister announced four major decisions .
First, the government will issue health cards to all employees by June 1 , a move seen as crucial for ensuring their health security. Second, the Chief Minister announced that approximately Rs 6,000 crore in pending dues related to retired employees will be cleared within the next 100 days . He stated that the utilisation of these funds would be decided based on suggestions from employee unions.
As the third decision, the Chief Minister directed the Pay Revision Commission (PRC) to submit its report immediately, indicating that the government is prepared to take an early decision on salary revision . Fourth, employee unions have been advised to hold review meetings with the government every two months to raise and address their concerns.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister recalled that soon after the present government assumed office, it ensured salary payments on the first of every month . He also noted that teacher transfers were conducted in a planned manner without confusion and revealed that 67,760 appointments have been completed in the state.
Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka said that all pending bills would be cleared by State Formation Day (June 2) . He added that dues worth thousands of crores had accumulated under the previous government and that comprehensive measures are being taken to resolve them. The government remains fully committed to the welfare of employees , he said.
After the meeting, JAC leaders expressed a positive response to the government’s decisions. Stating that their key demands had been addressed, they announced the withdrawal of the proposed strike and other protest programmes scheduled for May 5 .
