
CM Revanth Reddy launches development initiatives in Adilabad
As part of the “People’s Governance - People’s Victory Celebrations,” Chief Minister Revant Reddy inaugurated several development projects in Adilabad town, totaling ₹260.45 crore. These initiatives aim to improve infrastructure, education, irrigation, public safety, and employment opportunities in the district.
Key projects include comprehensive development works across 49 municipal wards in Adilabad worth ₹18.70 crore, petrol pumps established in partnership with women’s self-help groups under the Indira Mahila Shakti scheme with an investment of ₹1.75 crore, and loans approved for 160 women’s self-help groups totaling ₹19.69 crore. Additionally, the Chief Minister laid the foundation for the Young India Integrated Residential School Complex with an investment of ₹200 crore, and for additional classrooms and modernization at government high schools in Mahalaxmivada and Vidyanagar, costing ₹2 crore.
Revanth Reddy also focused on public safety by inaugurating 18 police quarters in Sanjay Nagar for ₹11.93 crore, 3 intelligence department quarters for ₹2.6 crore, and a community support center for ₹2 crore. To ensure reliable electricity supply, a new 33/11 kV substation near the Collectorate under the Adilabad Operation Circle will be built with ₹2.31 crore funding.
Addressing the public, the Chief Minister emphasized his commitment to transforming Adilabad into a model district. He highlighted major irrigation projects such as Pranahit and Chevella, which will secure water for local farmers. He also announced plans for a university in the district, suggesting Indravelli as a potential location while leaving the final decision to local representatives.
Revanth Reddy outlined other infrastructure plans, including the Chanaka and Korata projects, a proposed airport, and a cement factory. He stressed that education, irrigation, and connectivity are essential for the district’s overall development. The Chief Minister noted that over 61,000 government jobs have been provided in the past year and that the process for another 40,000 recruitments will soon begin, aiming to fill a total of one lakh positions. He encouraged youth to pursue higher education and aspire to civil service roles, making them active contributors to Telangana’s progress.
Paying tribute to tribal leader Komuram Bheem, Revanth Reddy announced the development of the Amar Veer memorial in Indravelli as a tourist center and provision of homes for families of martyrs. Plans are also underway to attract private investment for cement industries, which will generate local employment.
Concluding his address, the Chief Minister said that while politics matter during elections, development and welfare take priority afterward. He affirmed that progress and public welfare are treated as equally important, and that the government will continue working tirelessly to serve the people of Telangana.
