CM Revanth Reddy Calls for More Attractive School Uniforms in Telangana

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed officials to redesign school uniforms provided to government students to make them more attractive and appealing. He suggested exploring different colours and designs while finalising uniforms for the next academic year.

The Chief Minister reviewed the distribution of uniforms and other essential supplies to students during a meeting with officials on Saturday. He stressed the need to ensure that students receive quality materials on time and that there are no delays in the distribution process.

Officials informed Revanth Reddy that one set of uniforms had already been distributed to students in government schools, hostels and residential schools across the state. The second set is expected to be distributed by the end of September.

In Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs) and Model Schools, officials said the distribution of both sets of uniforms had already been completed. They also informed the Chief Minister that the distribution of notebooks to students in all government schools had been completed.

The meeting also reviewed the distribution of essential items in government hostels, residential schools, KGBVs and Model Schools. These include plates, glasses, bowls, bedsheets and towels, among other supplies required by students.

Looking ahead to the next academic year, Revanth Reddy asked officials to prepare an advance action plan so that uniforms and other essential materials are available to students from the first day of the new academic year.

The Chief Minister also noted that student enrolment could increase by around 10 per cent next academic year. He directed officials to make arrangements in advance to meet the requirements arising from the expected increase in student numbers.

Revanth Reddy said parents had expressed satisfaction with the quality of uniforms and other materials supplied to students this year. He instructed officials to maintain the same standards while ensuring that all required items reach students without delay.
