CM Revanth Reddy Assures Government Support for Arya Vysya Welfare

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has assured the Arya Vysya community that the state government will continue to support its welfare and development, while acknowledging its contribution to various fields of society.

The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for the Arya Vysya Atma Gaurava Bhavan at Uppal Bhagayath in Hyderabad on Sunday. Speaking at the event, he said members of the community had made significant contributions through social service and philanthropy, but often kept their work away from publicity, resulting in inadequate recognition.

Revanth Reddy called for greater unity within the community and urged its representatives to collectively raise their concerns with the government and elected representatives. He assured them that the government would extend the necessary support for the construction of the Atma Gaurava Bhavan.

The Chief Minister also highlighted the government’s decision to establish a separate Arya Vysya Corporation for the welfare of the community. He appreciated the community’s efforts to support economically weaker sections, particularly in rural areas, by providing loans without collateral and sharing their knowledge and experience to help people become self-reliant.

Revanth Reddy recalled the contribution of prominent Arya Vysya leaders in public life, particularly former minister K. Rosaiah, who served as Finance Minister for a long period under the governments of Marri Chenna Reddy, Kotla Vijaya Bhaskara Reddy and Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy in undivided Andhra Pradesh.

He said Rosaiah’s financial management played a role in Telangana entering the post-bifurcation phase as a surplus state. Despite opposition from some quarters over Rosaiah’s Andhra Pradesh roots, the Telangana government had honoured him by installing his statue, he said.

The Chief Minister also recalled the sacrifices of Mahatma Gandhi and Potti Sriramulu, noting their contributions to the freedom struggle and the creation of Andhra State. He urged the Arya Vysya community to carry forward its tradition of service, foresight and willingness to help others.
