CM Revanth meets PM Modi, invites him to ‘Telangana Rising Global Summit’

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi to extend a special invitation for him to attend the prestigious Telangana Rising Global Summit, scheduled for December 8-9 at Bharat Future City in Hyderabad.

During the meeting, CM Revanth Reddy presented the Telangana Rising 2047 Vision Document, which outlines the state’s development roadmap in alignment with India’s broader goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047. Prepared under the guidance of NITI Aayog and experts, the document highlights Telangana’s contribution to achieving the national target of a $3 trillion economy.

The Vision Document showcases the state’s progress across key sectors including IT, industry, agriculture, infrastructure, healthcare, and education. CM Revanth emphasized that the summit, which will see participation from global investors, industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers, will serve as a platform to attract substantial investment to Telangana. The government believes that the event will position Telangana as a hub for India’s future development, with participation from prominent national and international leaders and tech giants. Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka also accompanied the CM during the meeting.

The Chief Minister urged the central government to provide necessary support for Telangana’s development initiatives, particularly for key infrastructure projects. He requested prompt approvals and funding for the second phase of the Hyderabad Metro Rail, a joint venture project between the central and state governments estimated at ₹43,848 crore, extending over 162.5 km. CM Revanth also sought approvals for the northern and southern sections of the Hyderabad Regional Ring Road and for the proposed Regional Ring Rail project along the corridor.

To boost high-speed connectivity, the CM requested central support for several strategic projects, including a 12-lane Greenfield Expressway from Hyderabad to Machilipatnam Port and a Hyderabad-Bengaluru High-Speed Corridor. He also proposed the construction of an elevated four-lane corridor from Mannanur to Srisailam via the Nagarjunsagar Tiger Reserve, ensuring seamless connectivity to the Srisailam pilgrimage site.

During his visit to Delhi, CM Revanth Reddy also met Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, inviting them to the Telangana Rising Global Summit. Invitations were extended to Union Ministers Rajnath Singh and Manohar Lal Khattar as well. The delegation included Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka, state MPs, and AICC Telangana in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan.
