Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has emphasized that licensed surveyors play a crucial role in resolving farmers’ long-standing land disputes and supporting them in a sustainable manner. He called on surveyors to be active partners in the state’s development and reconstruction efforts.

During a license distribution ceremony for trained surveyors at Shilpakala Vedika in Hyderabad, CM Reddy, along with Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, outlined the vital role surveyors would play in shaping the future of Telangana.

Addressing the surveyors, the CM said, “Always stand by the farmers. Your work must be carried out with honesty. Any injustice to a farmer is an injustice to our own families. By doing your job diligently, you will help enhance Telangana’s reputation. We expect you to carry this responsibility on your shoulders and provide efficient services to villages and communities.”

CM Revanth highlighted that Telangana has around 16 million acres of agricultural land, but despite numerous laws enacted over the past 140 years, land disputes remain unresolved. He urged surveyors to work carefully on land boundaries so that no farmer faces difficulties.

He also stressed that protecting the boundaries of landowners, in line with the affection and care Telangana people have for their land, is a core responsibility of surveyors. He pointed out that resolving land issues and ensuring farmers’ welfare directly contributes to the state’s development.

CM Revanth also outlined the ambitious “Telangana Rising 2047” vision, aiming to transform the state into a leading economy. By 2034, Telangana is targeted to achieve a $1 trillion economy, growing to $3 trillion by 2047. He said surveyors’ contributions will be critical in achieving these economic milestones.

Surveyors are expected to actively visit villages and communities to resolve land disputes efficiently. Ensuring justice for farmers, maintaining accurate land boundaries, and supporting Telangana’s long-term development goals are responsibilities the CM entrusted to them.

Key measures for land dispute resolution in Telangana:

• Bhoo Bharathi Act 2025 - This law simplifies land registration, transfers, and boundary verification, protecting landowners’ rights. The introduction of unique land identification numbers helps accurately map and secure land boundaries.

• Drone-Based Land Surveys - Telangana has launched drone-assisted surveys in 413 villages to accurately record land boundaries, survey numbers, and other details, reducing disputes and safeguarding owners’ rights.

• Land Dispute Resolution Committees - Special committees have been set up at the district level to resolve disputes quickly, providing immediate solutions to landowners and easing pressure on the judicial system.

• Agricultural Land Surveys - Plans are underway to conduct comprehensive surveys using modern technology to record land status, boundaries, and ownership rights, increasing transparency in the agricultural sector.

Licensed surveyors in Telangana are now positioned as key players in resolving land issues, protecting land rights, and promoting transparency in agriculture, supporting the state’s vision of growth and development.
