CM Revanth begins statewide tour from today

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is beginning a six-day tour of various districts today as part of the “Prajapalana Vijayotsavalu” celebrations, which mark two years of Congress rule in the state. The timing of the tour has drawn interest in political circles, especially since the nomination process for the upcoming gram panchayat elections has already started.

According to official information, the Chief Minister will cover one district each day. He will visit Makthal in Mahabubnagar on December 1, Kothagudem in Khammam on December 2, Husnabad in Karimnagar on December 3, Adilabad town on December 4, Narsampet in Warangal on December 5, and Devarakonda in Nalgonda district on December 6. After completing this schedule, he is expected to participate in the Telangana Rising Global Summit in Hyderabad on December 8.

Because the model code of conduct for the gram panchayat elections is currently in effect, the government has decided that all events during the Chief Minister’s tour will be limited strictly to municipal and corporation areas. No programmes will be held in rural regions. Congress leaders insist that the tour is not connected to the elections and is meant only to showcase development projects and government welfare initiatives in urban areas.

During the tour, the Chief Minister will inaugurate completed projects, lay foundation stones for new works, and outline the development and welfare efforts undertaken by the Congress government in the past two years. He will also highlight key schemes such as the six guarantees and the Indiramma saree distribution, which have received strong public support. The tour will include public meetings where he will interact directly with citizens.

Congress leaders believe the tour will boost morale within the party during the panchayat election season and help strengthen the organization ahead of future local body polls, including MPTC, ZPTC and municipal elections.
