CM Revanth announces special funds to boost village development in Kodangal

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has announced special development funds as a New Year gift for the state’s 12,706 village panchayats, aimed at accelerating comprehensive rural development. Under the Special Development Fund, major village panchayats will receive ₹10 lakh each, while smaller panchayats will get ₹5 lakh. These funds are in addition to existing central and state allocations and are expected to be released within the new year.

The Chief Minister made the announcement during a cordial meeting at the Kosgi center with newly elected panchayat heads, including sarpanches, deputy sarpanches, and ward members from the Kodangal Assembly constituency. He congratulated the new representatives and assured them of government support. CM Revanth also pledged to release ₹3,000 crore due to village panchayats by March 31, personally taking responsibility for timely disbursement.

CM Revanth urged panchayat leaders to actively engage in development projects, emphasizing that their efforts would increase respect and credibility among residents. He encouraged them to conduct gram sabhas, prepare long-term plans, and resolve pending issues while honoring commitments made to their communities. Stressing the need to set aside party politics, he advised treating every citizen equally and ensuring no discrimination in public service delivery.

Highlighting past initiatives, the Chief Minister noted that projects left incomplete over the last decade are now being systematically addressed. Several major projects, including Beema, Nettempadu, Koil Sagar, SLBC, Palamuru, and Rangareddy, are in the process of completion.

CM Revanth emphasized education as a tool to transform the lives of underprivileged children. From the next academic year, all government schools across the state will provide both morning tiffin and midday meals. Panchayat leaders have been asked to monitor the fair distribution of ration cards, quality rice, free electricity, Rythu Bharosa benefits, free bus travel, and Indiramma sarees to eligible beneficiaries.

CM Revanth announced plans to develop Kodangal as a national model constituency. Over 250 acres, an education hub will be established, including junior, degree, medical, and agriculture colleges, along with a science-focused school. He acknowledged the support of the public in his rise to Chief Minister and encouraged continued collaboration.

The meeting was attended by Minister Vakiti Srihari, local MLAs, other elected representatives, and newly elected panchayat members.
