Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu visited Deputy Chief Minister and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan at a Mumbai hospital on Sunday, following the latter’s recent shoulder surgery.

Naidu met Pawan at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital , where the Deputy Chief Minister is recuperating under medical supervision. During the visit, the Chief Minister enquired about his health condition and reviewed the progress of his post-operative treatment with the attending doctors.

The two leaders also held a private meeting, during which Naidu wished Pawan a speedy recovery and expressed confidence that he would soon return to his public responsibilities. Doctors informed the Chief Minister that the surgery on Pawan’s right shoulder had been successful and that his recovery was progressing as expected.

Naidu also interacted with Pawan Kalyan’s wife, Anna Konidela , and discussed his treatment and recovery plan with the medical team. Hospital authorities briefed him on the care being provided and the rehabilitation process that will follow the surgery.

Speaking to the media later, the Chief Minister said Pawan had been dealing with shoulder-related health issues for several years but had continued to remain actively engaged in public life despite the discomfort. He noted that frequent public interactions, large crowds, and physical strain during political and social engagements had aggravated the condition over time.

According to Naidu, doctors have recommended a structured rehabilitation programme, including physiotherapy, for the next three weeks to aid recovery. He added that medical specialists had also identified concerns in Pawan’s other shoulder. However, they plan to reassess that condition only after the right shoulder has fully healed, with further examinations expected after about six months before any decision on additional treatment is taken.

The Chief Minister said Pawan’s condition is currently stable and expressed optimism that he would make a full recovery and resume his duties in public service in the near future.
