CM Chandrababu visits Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan in Hyderabad

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday called on Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan at his residence in Hyderabad to inquire about his health. Mr. Pawan Kalyan has been suffering from a viral fever for the past few days.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister spent time discussing both personal and official matters. Mr. Pawan Kalyan explained that the fever was not severe at present but said he had been experiencing persistent cough due to chronic bronchitis, which was also causing pain near the throat. He informed us that medical tests had already been conducted, and doctors had advised treatment. The Chief Minister expressed hope for his quick recovery and urged him to take extra care regarding his health.

The meeting also touched upon key welfare and development programmes being implemented in the state. Mr. Pawan Kalyan referred to the recently held Mega DSC recruitment, which successfully provided teaching jobs to 15,941 candidates. He thanked the Chief Minister for organising the programme to distribute appointment letters, noting that the move had instilled confidence and enthusiasm among the youth.

Both leaders then reviewed preparations for the upcoming programme for auto drivers scheduled on October 4 in Vijayawada. Mr. Naidu said that while the government had fulfilled its promise of providing free bus travel for women under the Stree Shakti scheme, steps were also being taken to ensure that auto drivers did not face financial strain as a result. As part of the support package, each auto driver would receive financial assistance of ₹15,000, and the formal launch of this scheme would be held at the October 4 event. Mr. Pawan Kalyan expressed confidence that this initiative, designed under the leadership of the Chief Minister, would be widely welcomed.

Preparations for the forthcoming visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Andhra Pradesh on October 16 were also discussed. The two leaders considered the proposal of holding a roadshow as part of the event to highlight the importance of Goods and Services Tax (GST) reforms and to generate awareness on related economic measures.

The meeting, held in a cordial atmosphere, reflected both concern for the Deputy Chief Minister’s health and the government’s focus on welfare schemes and upcoming political programmes.
