CM Chandrababu to Attend Seva Sankalp Abhiyan in Varanasi Today

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu will visit Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday to participate in the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’, being organised as part of nationwide programmes marking Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public life.

The campaign, scheduled to run from September 17 to October 17, is being held across the country to mark Modi’s 25-year journey in public service. The programmes cover the period beginning with his tenure as the Chief Minister of Gujarat and continuing through his years as Prime Minister.

A major component of the campaign is the ‘Varanasi–Vadnagar Seva Yatra’, which will connect Varanasi with Vadnagar in Gujarat, near Vadodara. The yatra is intended to carry the campaign’s message of public participation and social responsibility across communities.

Naidu will attend a programme at a convention centre in Varanasi, where he is expected to interact with youth, elected representatives and representatives of various service organisations. He will subsequently take part in the launch of the Seva Yatra and flag off the programme.

The campaign places emphasis on encouraging citizens to play a more active role in the country’s development. Its central message focuses on community participation, service and social responsibility, with an emphasis on making development a shared effort rather than the responsibility of governments alone.

The initiative also seeks to involve different sections of society in the development process. Villages, families, youth and women have been identified as important participants, with the campaign encouraging them to contribute to community development and nation-building activities.

According to the schedule, Naidu will leave Vijayawada at 7.30 am on Thursday and reach Varanasi at 9.35 am. He will visit the Sri Kashi Vishwanath Temple at 11.15 am for darshan before proceeding to the convention centre for the scheduled event.

Following the programme, the Chief Minister is scheduled to leave Varanasi at 3.10 pm. He is expected to reach Amaravati at 5.15 pm, concluding his day-long visit to Uttar Pradesh.

The Varanasi programme forms part of the month-long nationwide campaign, with activities planned until October 17 to highlight the broader themes of service, public participation and social responsibility.
