
CM Chandrababu Naidu to lay foundation stone for Amaravati Quantum Valley
With the objective of transforming Andhra Pradesh into a global technology hub, Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu is set to mark another historic milestone on Friday by laying the foundation stone for the Amaravati Quantum Valley . Envisioned as a global centre for quantum research, the initiative aims to position Amaravati at the forefront of next-generation technologies. The project is expected to serve as a national benchmark by promoting cutting-edge innovation, deep industry collaboration and the development of highly skilled talent.
The prestigious event will be attended by Union Minister of State for Science and Technology Jitendra Singh , Andhra Pradesh Minister for IT Nara Lokesh , and several eminent technology experts from India and abroad. The state government said Amaravati would emerge as a defining milestone in India’s scientific and technological journey. As part of the programme, multiple memoranda of understanding (MoUs) are set to be signed with international institutions.
Under the project, quantum cloud services will be launched in collaboration with IT majors IBM and TCS , while the Chief Minister will also unveil the Amaravati Quantum Valley logo . The initiative further includes the establishment of the IBM–TCS Quantum Innovation Centre , a Quantum Talent Hub , and a Quantum Reference Facility under the aegis of a private university.
A major highlight of the initiative is the launch of ‘quantum-safe’ applications , aimed at strengthening future information security. Around nine leading companies have joined the ecosystem as partners, reflecting growing private-sector confidence in the state. The government said the initiative, aligned with national science and technology priorities, would contribute meaningfully to India’s leadership in next-generation technologies and further strengthen Andhra Pradesh’s position on the global map.
