CM Chandrababu Naidu to Distribute Pattadar Passbooks in Vemuru Today

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will visit Bapatla district on Thursday to strengthen the state’s Mee Bhoomi–Mee Hakku programme, a flagship initiative aimed at securing farmers’ land rights .

During his visit to Vemuru constituency , the Chief Minister will distribute newly issued pattadar passbooks carrying the official state seal. The initiative is part of the government’s effort to correct lapses in the earlier re-survey process and ensure farmers receive accurate and legally valid land documents.

In a significant reform, the government has removed all political imagery from land records and survey markers, replacing them with standardized official formats to enhance transparency and credibility.

The land re-survey is progressing steadily across the state. Out of 16,816 villages, surveys have been completed in 6,976 villages. Since January, about 22.79 lakh passbooks have been distributed across 5,717 villages. The government aims to issue a total of 62.04 lakh passbooks statewide by April 2027.

To strengthen land record security , the state is introducing Blockchain technology, ensuring records cannot be tampered with or altered without authorization. This move is expected to reduce disputes and provide farmers with clear ownership rights.

As per the schedule, the Chief Minister will arrive at Surepalli in Bhattiprolu mandal at 10:50 AM and attend a public meeting at 11:00 AM, where he will distribute passbooks and address farmers. He will later visit agricultural fields for direct interaction, followed by a review meeting with party leaders, before returning to Amaravati in the evening.

In Thursday’s drive, 3,658 passbooks will be distributed across eight mandals in Bapatla district, including 1,795 in Vemuru constituency. The government is committed to completing the re-survey process by year-end and establishing a farmer-centric revenue system .
