CM Chandrababu Invited to Srisailam Sharannavaratri Celebrations
Members of the temple trust board and officials of the Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple in Srisailam have invited Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to attend the Devi Sharannavaratri celebrations scheduled to be held from October 11 to 20. The invitation was extended as the temple authorities stepped up preparations for the annual festivities.
Temple board chairman Pothugunta Ramesh Naidu, Executive Officer M. Srinivasa Rao and Srisailam MLA Budda Rajasekhar Reddy met the Chief Minister at his camp office and formally handed over the invitation. Temple priests accompanying the delegation offered Vedic blessings to Naidu during the meeting.
The temple representatives also presented the Chief Minister with a portrait of Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy and prasadam. During the interaction, Naidu enquired about the arrangements being made at the temple for the Sharannavaratri celebrations and sought details from the officials on the preparations.
The annual Devi Sharannavaratri Mahotsavams are an important religious event at the Srisailam temple and attract devotees during the festival period. Temple authorities have been making arrangements to ensure the celebrations are conducted smoothly and devotees receive the necessary facilities.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister also appreciated the compassionate gesture of a woman staff member at the Dwaraka Tirumala temple for assisting a devotee with a disability.
The staff member, Gayatri, was seen personally feeding food to devotee Satyanarayana, who has no hands, at the temple's Annaprasadam Centre on October 3. A video of the incident was shared widely on social media and drew attention to her act of kindness.
Responding to the video, Naidu shared it on X and praised Gayatri for helping the devotee. He expressed appreciation for her compassion and said her gesture reflected the principle of “service to humanity is service to God.”
The Chief Minister described Gayatri's act of feeding the devotee and helping meet his immediate need as an example of humanitarian service. He conveyed his appreciation for her gesture and the sensitivity she displayed while performing her duties.
The two developments highlighted the preparations for the upcoming religious celebrations at Srisailam as well as an act of compassion at Dwaraka Tirumala that received public attention.
