CJP's Next Big Move? Core Members to Chart Future Course at August 5 Meet

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) is preparing for its next phase of action, with its core members scheduled to meet in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar on August 5 to decide the organisation's future roadmap following its month-long agitation over the NEET paper leak issue.

According to sources, the meeting will be held at the residence of CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke, where senior members will deliberate on suggestions gathered from volunteers, students and supporters before finalising the outfit's next course of action. A press conference is expected immediately after the meeting to announce the decisions taken.

Following the conclusion of the nationwide protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi, the organisation had advised its activists and volunteers to return home, spend time with their families and interact with students and local supporters. Core members were also asked to collect feedback and ideas from volunteers across different regions so that the movement's future direction reflects wider public sentiment.

The August 5 meeting is expected to consolidate those discussions and determine how the organisation plans to build on the momentum generated during its campaign against alleged irregularities in the NEET examination process.

On Sunday, Dipke spent time with students, local residents and visitors from neighbouring districts at his residence, where he celebrated Friendship Day with children. The gathering reflected the continued public engagement the organisation has maintained even after suspending its protest.

The CJP's agitation over the NEET paper leak drew significant participation from Gen Z students and youth across the country. The sustained demonstrations kept the spotlight on examination reforms and accountability, eventually culminating in the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan last week.

With expectations running high, the August 5 meeting is likely to indicate whether the CJP expands its campaign beyond the NEET issue or launches a broader movement focused on education reforms and student concerns.
