Chiranjeevi To Host Netflix Podcast, Sushmita Konidela Reportedly To Produce

Megastar Chiranjeevi could soon bring his larger-than-life journey to the digital space in a completely new format. According to reports, the veteran Telugu actor is set to host a multi-episode podcast for Netflix, where he could open up about his decades-long career, personal experiences and some lesser-known stories from his life.

Interestingly, the podcast idea has been in the works for some time. Chiranjeevi had earlier revealed that he was considering a documentary on his life, but filmmaker and writer BVS Ravi and his daughter, producer Sushmita Konidela, suggested exploring the podcast format instead. Chiranjeevi had said he was considering the idea and would take a final call.

The reported project now appears to have moved closer to the streaming space. The podcast format would allow Chiranjeevi to speak more freely and at length about his journey, rather than following the more structured approach of a traditional documentary.

BVS Ravi’s involvement is particularly interesting. He is known for writing the popular talk show 'Unstoppable with NBK', making his association with a celebrity-driven conversation format a notable connection. The reported Chiranjeevi podcast could similarly focus on candid conversations and stories from the actor’s extraordinary journey in cinema.

Reports suggest the show could delve into untold stories, memorable experiences, career milestones and challenges from Chiranjeevi’s life. There has also been speculation that people who worked closely with him in the film industry could feature in the project, although details about guests or the episode format have not been confirmed.

Sushmita Konidela is reportedly set to produce the show, adding another layer to what could become an interesting father-daughter collaboration. Sushmita has already been expanding her work in the digital space through production.

Chiranjeevi’s story certainly offers plenty of material, with his career spanning more than four decades and including more than 150 films. From becoming one of Telugu cinema’s biggest stars to entering politics and eventually returning to films, the actor has experienced several defining phases that audiences could hear about directly from him.
