Chiranjeevi Plans New Multiplex In Vizag After Hyderabad’s World’s Largest Screen Project
Megastar Chiranjeevi is reportedly expanding his plans in the film exhibition business, with a new multiplex proposed for Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The development was revealed by Andhra Pradesh Human Resource Development Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao during the pre-release event of 'Garividi Lakshmi', adding another exciting dimension to the actor’s upcoming business ventures.
According to Ganta, Chiranjeevi shared his plans for the Vizag project during a recent meeting between the two. The minister, who shares a close rapport with the Telugu superstar, revealed that Chiranjeevi intends to establish a multiscreen theatre in the coastal city. However, details regarding the proposed location, screen count, investment and construction timeline have not yet been announced. An official announcement from Chiranjeevi is also awaited.
The latest development comes shortly after reports emerged about Chiranjeevi joining hands with Asian Cinemas for an ambitious premium cinema project in Hyderabad’s Financial District. The proposed property is expected to feature what is being touted as the world’s largest cinema screen, potentially putting Hyderabad on the map for premium movie-viewing experiences.
The Hyderabad venture marks a significant step for Chiranjeevi beyond acting and film production. Several Telugu cinema stars have ventured into the exhibition business through collaborations with established theatre operators, reflecting the growing focus on luxury cinema experiences in the Telugu states.
If the Vizag plans materialise, the project could further expand Chiranjeevi’s presence in the exhibition sector and offer moviegoers another major cinema destination. For now, fans will have to wait for more concrete details about the proposed multiplex.
Meanwhile, the announcement came at the pre-release event of 'Garividi Lakshmi', which stars Anandhi in the titular role. Directed by Gowri Naidu Jammu and produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad under the People Media Factory banner, the film is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on October 17, 2026.
