
Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar Visits Tirumala Temple
Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar on Sunday offered prayers at the Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Tirumala. As part of his two-day visit to Tirumala, he, along with his wife, visited the temple on Sunday morning and participated in special rituals.
The couple was accorded a traditional welcome by officials and priests of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) upon their arrival at the temple. Vedic scholars received them at the temple’s main entrance with chanting of hymns and escorted them inside with customary temple honours.
Later, the couple had darshan of the deity in the sanctum sanctorum and offered prayers.
After the darshan, TTD officials felicitated the Chief Election Commissioner with silk garments at the Ranganayaka Mandapam inside the temple premises.
The Tirumala Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple , regarded as the world’s richest Hindu temple, is administered by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) . Thousands of devotees visit the shrine every day, and the TTD continues to make extensive arrangements for the convenience of pilgrims.
