In a move aimed at enhancing pilgrim facilities at Tirumala , the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) on Saturday received a modern electric bus as a donation from Chennai-based devotee Vardhaman Jain . The newly inducted vehicle is expected to strengthen the free transportation services operated for devotees visiting the hill shrine every day.

During a special ceremony held in Tirumala, the donor formally handed over the bus keys to TTD Additional Executive Officer Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary. Later, temple priests performed traditional rituals and offered special prayers for the vehicle in front of the sacred Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple .

In an official statement, TTD expressed gratitude for the generous contribution and announced that the bus would soon become part of the “ Dharma Rathams ” free transport network functioning across Tirumala. Officials stated that the addition would improve travel convenience for the lakhs of devotees arriving at the temple town regularly.

Authorities also emphasized the importance of promoting eco-friendly transportation systems in Tirumala to preserve the region’s spiritual atmosphere and environmental balance. They noted that such philanthropic initiatives would encourage the adoption of more sustainable mobility solutions in the future.

With the number of visiting devotees continuing to rise steadily, TTD has been expanding its infrastructure and upgrading services to ensure a smooth and comfortable darshan experience. Officials reiterated that the temple administration remains committed to introducing advanced technology and modern amenities for the benefit of pilgrims visiting the sacred hill shrine.
