Tatiparthi Chandrasekhar has accused the Andhra Pradesh ruling leadership of hypocrisy , alleging that their actions contradict their public statements on Amaravati and state sentiment . In a social media post, the YSR Congress Party MLA criticised leaders for emotionally appealing to the people of Andhra Pradesh while continuing to enjoy a luxurious life in Hyderabad .

Referring to N. Chandrababu Naidu, Chandrasekhar said leaders who once spoke about the hardships faced after bifurcation had still not completely shifted to Amaravati even after more than a decade. He questioned the sincerity behind glorifying Amaravati as a prestigious capital while preferring Hyderabad for personal comfort and convenience.

The MLA alleged that the emotions of Andhra Pradesh people were being used for political gain, while leaders themselves continued to prioritise life outside the state. He also questioned why senior leaders holding key government positions still spend much of their time in Hyderabad despite repeatedly speaking about Andhra Pradesh’s development and self-respect.

Defending Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, Chandrasekhar said the former Chief Minister remained largely accessible to both officials and the public during his tenure. He contrasted this with the current administration’s style of governance, alleging that dividing time between Hyderabad and Amaravati reflects a lack of commitment to the state.

The YSRCP leader further accused political opponents of maintaining double standards, saying those who once criticised Jagan Mohan Reddy for travelling to Bengaluru are now unable to justify their own continued stay in Hyderabad.
