
Chandrababu Naidu in Delhi for High-Stakes Talks on AP’s Development
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu departed to New Delhi at 7 pm on Monday for a crucial visit aimed at advancing the state’s development agenda and expediting approvals for pending projects.
The Chief Minister arrived in the national capital on Monday night and will engage in a series of high-level discussions with Union Ministers from this morning through the evening. The meetings are expected to focus on securing Central assistance, the release of pending funds, and progress on major development initiatives linked to the state’s reconstruction.
Naidu is likely to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah to deliberate on state security, administrative matters, and Centre–State coordination . Discussions with Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will centre on the state’s financial position, budgetary support, pending grants, and borrowing requirements .
Talks with Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Patil is expected to cover water resource management, irrigation projects, and the implementation of schemes such as the Jal Jeevan Mission . The Chief Minister will also meet Union Ministers Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Ashwini Vaishnaw to review proposed infrastructure projects , including those related to roads, railways, telecommunications, and industrial investments .
Official sources said the visit is aimed at strengthening Central support for Andhra Pradesh’s overall development. After completing the scheduled meetings, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is expected to return to Amaravati around 5 pm today.
