
CEO of South Delhi-Based Firm Booked After Sexual Harassment Complaint by Ex-Intern
Delhi Police has registered a First Information Report (FIR) against the CEO of a private company based in south Delhi following allegations of sexual harassment and misconduct made by a former intern, an official said on Friday.
According to police, the complainant, a former intern at the firm, has accused the CEO of inappropriate behaviour, mental harassment, intimidation, and abuse of authority during her tenure with the company. She has also alleged that she was subjected to repeated misconduct, which allegedly created a hostile work environment , prompting her to approach law enforcement authorities.
Police officials said that an FIR has been registered based on the complaint and that statements of relevant individuals are currently being recorded as part of the investigation. Authorities added that all facts and circumstances surrounding the allegations are being verified.
“The matter is under investigation. We are examining the complaint and recording statements,” a police officer said.
Further details, including the identity of the accused and the company, have not been disclosed at this stage. The investigation is currently underway.
