The Centre will launch the “Sabki Yojana, Sabka Vikas” campaign on October 2, renewing its focus on strengthening Panchayats by using digital platforms to review and update local development plans.

Unlike previous years, this year’s drive is centered on reviewing unfinished and delayed works, especially those funded through unspent Central Finance Commission grants. Gram Sabhas will use tools like eGramSwaraj and Meri Panchayat App to track earlier commitments and set fresh priorities for 2026-27.

The campaign also stresses better use of local funds, boosting Panchayat revenues, and closer coordination with government departments. A special thrust is being given to tribal empowerment under the Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan.

By making Gram Sabhas the platform for both accountability and planning, the government hopes to ensure that rural development is not just about new promises, but about finishing what has already been started.
