CBSE recruitment for A, B and C Posts, last date to apply 22 dec

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued an official notification announcing recruitment to 124 Group A, Group B and Group C posts across various administrative and academic positions. The online application process commenced on December 2, 2025, and will remain open until December 22, 2025, up to 11:59 pm.

Eligible candidates are required to apply only through the official CBSE website at www.cbse.gov.in . No other mode of application will be accepted. The recruitment is being conducted through an All India Competitive Examination under the CBSE Direct Recruitment Quota Examination 2026 (DRQ-2026).

According to the notification, vacancies have been notified for posts including Assistant Secretary, Assistant Professor and Assistant Director (Academics, Training and Skill Education), Accounts Officer, Superintendent, Junior Translation Officer, Junior Accountant and Junior Assistant. The total number of vacancies across all posts is 124.

The pay scale for the advertised posts ranges from Pay Level-2 to Pay Level-10 under the 7th Central Pay Commission , depending on the position. Group A posts carry Pay Level-10, Group B posts Pay Level-6, and Group C posts Pay Level-2.

Educational qualifications vary by post. Group A positions generally require a Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree from a recognised university, with a minimum of 55 per cent marks for academic and director-level posts. The Accounts Officer post allows multiple qualification pathways, including degrees in commerce-related disciplines, professional qualifications such as CA or ICWA, or an MBA in Finance. Group B and C posts require qualifications ranging from graduation to Class 12, with specific subject and typing requirements for certain posts.

The age limit also differs by post. The maximum age prescribed is 35 years for Assistant Secretary and Accounts Officer posts, 30 years for Assistant Professor, Assistant Director, Superintendent and Junior Translation Officer posts, and 27 years for Junior Accountant and Junior Assistant posts. Age relaxation will be applicable for eligible categories such as SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), EWS, PwBD and ex-servicemen, as per Government of India rules.

The application fee is expected to follow the previous recruitment pattern. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwBD, ex-servicemen and women categories are expected to pay ₹250 for all groups. For unreserved, OBC and EWS candidates, the fee is expected to be ₹1,750 for Group A posts and ₹1,050 for Group B and C posts. Regular employees of the Board are exempted from paying the fee. The exact fee details will be displayed on the online application portal.

Selection will be conducted through a computer-based written examination. Depending on the post, candidates may also be required to undergo a skill test or interview. Final selection will be subject to document verification and medical examination.

Applicants are advised to carefully read the detailed notification before submitting the application. A printout of the final submitted form should be retained for future reference.
