CBSE Announces Recruitment for 124 Group A, B and C Posts

The vacancies have been notified for positions including Assistant Secretary, Assistant Professor & Assistant Director, Accounts Officer, Superintendent, Junior Translation Officer, Junior Accountant and Junior Assistant. Recruitment has been planned under the Direct Recruitment Quota Examination 2026 (DRQ 2026).

According to the notification, pay levels ranging from Level-2 to Level-10 under the 7th Central Pay Commission will be offered, depending on the post and group category.

A total of 124 posts have been announced. Under Group A, eight posts have been notified for Assistant Secretary, twelve for Assistant Professor & Assistant Director (Academics), eight for Assistant Professor & Assistant Director (Training), and seven under the Skill Education category. Two vacancies have been listed for Accounts Officer.

In Group B, twenty-seven vacancies have been released for Superintendent and nine for Junior Translation Officer. In Group C, sixteen vacancies have been announced for Junior Accountant and thirty-five for Junior Assistant.

Eligibility requirements have been detailed for each post. A Bachelor’s degree has been prescribed for the role of Assistant Secretary and Superintendent, while Postgraduate degrees with at least 55% marks have been made mandatory for Assistant Professor & Assistant Director roles across Academics, Training and Skill Education categories.

For the post of Accounts Officer, candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Economics, Accounts, Finance, Business Studies or similar subjects are eligible. Qualifications such as MBA (Finance), Chartered Accountant or ICWA have also been accepted.

Candidates applying for the Junior Translation Officer position must hold a Master’s degree in Hindi or English, with the other language studied as a compulsory or elective subject at the degree level.

For Junior Accountant, a Class 12 qualification with subjects such as Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics, Commerce, Entrepreneurship or related fields has been required, along with a typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on a computer. The Junior Assistant post requires Class 12 or equivalent qualification.

The maximum age has been set at 35 years for Assistant Secretary and Accounts Officer posts. An upper age limit of 30 years has been specified for Assistant Professor & Assistant Director roles, Superintendent and Junior Translation Officer. For Junior Accountant and Junior Assistant, the maximum age has been fixed at 27 years.

Relaxations in age will be applicable for reserved categories as per Government of India norms for SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS, PwBD and Ex-Servicemen applicants.

An application fee structure similar to previous recruitment cycles has been followed. Candidates from the SC, ST, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen and Women categories will be required to pay ₹250 for each Group A, B or C post. Candidates from the Unreserved, OBC and EWS categories will be charged ₹1750 for Group A posts and ₹1050 each for Group B and C posts. Regular employees of the Board have been exempted from paying any fee.

The exact fee details will be displayed on the online application portal at the time of form submission.

The selection process has been planned through the CBSE Direct Recruitment Quota Examination 2026. A Computer-Based Test (CBT) will be conducted, followed by a skill test or interview, wherever applicable. Final appointment will be made after document verification and medical examination.

Applications have been permitted only through online mode, and the portal will remain active until the closing date. Candidates have been instructed to upload scanned copies of their photograph, signature and relevant certificates in the prescribed format. Application fees, where applicable, must be paid through online payment options available on the portal.

A printout of the final submitted form has been advised for future reference.

The recruitment drive is aimed at filling key academic, administrative and support roles within the CBSE framework, and applicants from across India are expected to participate in the process.
