Buses to Kashi, Ayodhya soon: TGSRTC
The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) is planning to introduce new pilgrimage tour packages for devotees. According to TGSRTC MD VC Sajjanar, buses will soon run to holy places like Kashi and Ayodhya. These packages will allow devotees to visit these sacred sites easily and at a lower cost.
TGSRTC has already been offering special packages to pilgrimages like Tirumala, Srisailam, and Vijayawada, which received a good response. Inspired by this, the corporation aims to bring its services closer to the people. Officials are planning bus tour packages to several other famous pilgrimage sites in addition to Kashi and Ayodhya. Sajjanar said special buses with modern facilities are being prepared for these tours. Full details of the packages will be announced soon.
Services with new ideas
TGSRTC MD VC Sajjanar is coming up with new ideas to make the services more accessible to people. He is also working to expand TGSRTC services to rural areas. He explained a recently launched scheme called “Yatra Daan.” Under this scheme, anyone can take poor students, orphans, elderly, and differently-abled people to pilgrimage or tourist places for free during their auspicious occasions. Sajjanar appreciated the generous contributions coming from people for this program.
Services as per needs
Sajjanar has instructed officials to inform people about other services like cargo transport, hiring buses for weddings, and special events. Through the earlier “Grama Colony Bus Officer” program, TGSRTC services are being extended to every village and colony. These officials meet villagers once every 15 days to collect feedback on bus timings, routes, and other issues. They also advise in advance to increase trips during weddings and festivals. Such programs are playing a key role in bringing TGSRTC closer to the people.
