Global K-pop phenomenon BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan) is set to make a full-group comeback with their fifth studio album, ARIRANG , scheduled for worldwide release on March 20, 2026 . The album marks the group’s first complete project since members pursued individual careers and fulfilled their mandatory military service.

Even before its official launch, ARIRANG has achieved remarkable success, topping Spotify’s global pre-save chart with 3.09 million pre-saves. The figure places BTS ahead of international stars such as Bruno Mars and Harry Styles , reflecting the group’s continued global dominance and the overwhelming anticipation among fans, who are now targeting a milestone of seven million pre-saves ahead of release.

To commemorate the album’s launch, Big Hit Music has partnered with the Seoul Metropolitan Government for a large-scale cultural initiative titled “BTS THE CITY: ARIRANG SEOUL.” From March 20 to April 12, several iconic landmarks across the capital, including Namsan Tower, will be transformed into illuminated installations featuring BTS imagery blended with elements of Korean heritage and traditional art.

As part of the celebrations, a live-streamed event will be held from Gwanghwamun Square on March 21 in collaboration with Netflix , allowing fans around the world to witness the comeback festivities in real time. The streaming platform is also producing a documentary chronicling BTS’s reunion and the journey behind their long-awaited return as a full group.

The comeback is expected to be one of the most significant global music events of 2026, reinforcing BTS’s influence not only in music but also in cultural diplomacy and tourism for South Korea.
