BSF Announces Recruitment for Deputy Chief Engineer, Aircraft Maintenance Roles

The Border Security Force (BSF) has issued a notification announcing the recruitment of nine technical posts on a deputation basis. The vacancies include one post of Deputy Chief Engineer (Commandant) and eight posts of Senior Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Second-in-Command). The notification was released on 30 May 2025, and applications have been invited through the offline mode.

According to the notification, the recruitment has been opened to eligible candidates from the engineering field, and applicants possessing a B.Tech or B.E degree have been considered eligible. However, the detailed eligibility criteria, including service requirements for deputation and age limits, have been asked to be verified from the official notification available on the BSF website, bsf.gov.in .

The BSF has informed that the posts will be filled strictly on a deputation basis, and interested candidates must ensure that their applications reach the designated authority before 30 November 2025, which has been fixed as the last date. No information regarding any application fee has been mentioned in the released notification.

As per the pay structure specified, the Deputy Chief Engineer (Commandant) post will be placed in Level-13 of the pay matrix, carrying a salary between ₹1,23,100 and ₹2,15,900. The Senior Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Second-in-Command) post will fall under Level-12, with a pay range of ₹78,800 to ₹2,09,200.
