BRSV state vice-president Tunga Balu unveiled a poster for a protest scheduled on October 29, demanding the immediate release of the Rs 1,000 crore announced by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for Osmania University. The student wing said the funds were essential to address the university’s infrastructure and other pressing requirements.

Speaking at the programme, Tunga Balu also called for the immediate clearance of nearly Rs 12,000 crore in pending fee reimbursement dues across Telangana. He said prolonged delays in releasing the dues were placing a financial burden on students and educational institutions. The BRSV leader further urged the state government to fill vacant teaching and non-teaching posts in universities and improve basic infrastructure and facilities.

Tunga Balu alleged that the Congress government had failed to fulfil several commitments made to unemployed youth during the elections. He said promises including the release of an annual job calendar, recruitment to two lakh government posts, payment of unemployment allowance and transparent filling of vacant government positions were yet to be implemented in full.

He also demanded that the government speed up recruitment for Group-I, Group-II, Group-III and Group-IV posts, besides vacancies in DSC, police and medical and health departments. According to him, repeated delays in recruitment have created considerable uncertainty among job aspirants who have spent years preparing for competitive examinations.

The BRSV leader pointed to the lack of clarity over examination schedules, frequent changes in recruitment timelines and delays in filling notified vacancies as major concerns. He alleged that these issues were adding to the frustration of unemployed youth across the state.

Tunga Balu said candidates preparing for government jobs had invested considerable time and resources in their preparation and deserved a clear and predictable recruitment process. He urged the government to take concrete steps to address their concerns and ensure that promised recruitments were completed without further delay.

The BRSV appealed to its leaders, workers and supporters to participate in large numbers and make the October 29 protest a success. Several BRSV leaders and activists, including Kompally Naresh, Chapa Bhaskar, Kommanaboyina Saidulu Yadav, Advaith, Vallamalla Suryaprakash and Konda Ganesh, among others, attended the poster launch.
