BRS Social Media Coordinator Among 8 Arrested in Attack on Congress Leader

Police have arrested eight persons , including BRS social media coordinator Manne Krishank , for allegedly assaulting and threatening a Congress leader over a social media post.

The action was taken based on a complaint filed by Congress social media coordinator G. Rajendra Kumar . In his complaint, Rajendra Kumar alleged that Krishank, along with 10 to 15 supporters , forcibly entered his house on Thursday after getting angered by a social media post about him. He further alleged that they physically attacked him, snatched his mobile phone, destroyed it , and threatened to kill him .

Following the complaint, a case was registered at the Kukatpally Police Station . After investigation, police arrested Krishank along with seven others. The accused were produced before a city court, which remanded them to judicial custody till May 7 .

The arrests, occurring amid political differences , have sparked discussion in the city.

Krishank criticised the government, alleging that the Revanth-led administration was resorting to illegal arrests to suppress questions , while failing to respond to issues such as the sacrifices of RTC workers . He claimed that false cases were filed against him for exposing corruption by Congress ministers , and asserted that he would not be intimidated by such actions. He added that their fight on public issues and against government irregularities will continue .
