BRS Protests in Dandepalli Over Pending Rythu Bharosa Funds

Political temperatures rose in Mancherial district on Saturday as the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) organised a protest in Dandepalli mandal, accusing the Congress government of delaying financial assistance promised to farmers under the Rythu Bharosa scheme . The demonstration drew a large number of farmers and party leaders who demanded the immediate release of three pending installments of the investment support programme.

The protest was held at the Dandepalli mandal headquarters under the leadership of former Mancherial MLA Nadipelli Diwakar Rao . Addressing the gathering, BRS state leader Nadipelli Vijith Kumar strongly criticised the government for what he described as neglect of the farming community. He alleged that the administration had failed to release crucial financial aid that farmers depend on for cultivation expenses.

Vijith Kumar claimed that the government had earlier limited the disbursement of benefits to farmers owning less than three acres of land, leaving many cultivators without support. He said the delay in releasing the remaining installments had added to the financial burden on farmers who are already struggling with rising input costs and uncertainties in agriculture.

Demanding immediate action, the BRS leader urged the government to transfer the pending Rythu Bharosa funds directly into farmers’ bank accounts without further delay. He insisted that the payments should be cleared before the upcoming Assembly sessions begin.

Issuing a strong warning, Vijith Kumar said the party would intensify its agitation if the government fails to respond to the farmers’ concerns. He announced that farmers from across the Mancherial constituency would mobilise for a large-scale protest and lay siege to the district Collectorate if the pending assistance is not released.

Several former public representatives, BRS leaders, and a large number of farmers participated in the demonstration. Party leaders said the protest was aimed at highlighting the difficulties faced by farmers and reaffirmed that the BRS would continue to raise issues affecting the agricultural community until the pending funds are released.
