BRS MLAs file complaint against CM Revanth with Assembly Secretary
Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLAs have submitted a complaint to the Telangana Assembly Secretary, Tirupati, alleging that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy misled the House during a recent debate on Krishna river water sharing.
The BRS leaders claimed that the Chief Minister presented incorrect information while speaking about the Rayalaseema Lift Irrigation Scheme, thereby misleading both the Assembly and the people of the state. They argued that making inaccurate statements in the legislature, especially while holding a constitutional post, amounts to a breach of legislative privilege.
Demanding immediate action, the BRS MLAs urged the Assembly Secretariat to take the matter seriously and initiate proceedings against the Chief Minister for violating the privileges of the House. They said the issue undermines the credibility of legislative discussions and accountability.
The complaint has further intensified political tensions during the ongoing Assembly session, adding to the heated atmosphere in Telangana politics.
