BRS leader Rakesh Reddy slams Congress over attack on BRS office in Manuguru

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader Rakesh Reddy strongly condemned the attack on the party office in Manuguru, Bhadradri Kothagudem district. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Rakesh Reddy alleged that the attack was a pre-planned act carried out with the support of senior government leaders. He described the incident as a clear reflection of the Congress government’s growing lawlessness in the state.

Condemnation and concerns

Rakesh Reddy expressed deep concern, saying that if BRS workers had been present at the time of the attack, it could have led to serious injuries or even loss of life. He accused the Congress government of turning what was once a peaceful region - the united Khammam district and the Kothagudem area - into a hub of “violence and political vendetta.”

Sharp criticism of ministers

Targeting three ministers from the united Khammam district - Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Bhatti Vikramarka, and Tummala Nageswara Rao - Rakesh Reddy accused them of dividing the region for their political gains. “For ten years, this district remained calm and green under the previous government. Now the Congress seems intent on staining it with blood. Is this what they call ‘people’s governance’?” he questioned.

He further warned that while Congress leaders might attack party offices, the people of Khammam and Kothagudem will ultimately hold their ministers accountable.

Demand for immediate action

Rakesh Reddy demanded the state government take swift action against those responsible. “If the government truly had no role in this, it must immediately arrest the Congress leaders involved, file criminal cases against them, and send them to jail,” he said. He also urged that those found guilty should be banished from the town for at least two years to ensure such incidents do not recur.
