The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has strongly objected to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) issuing notices to party president and former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) in the alleged phone tapping case , calling the move undemocratic and politically motivated . The party has announced statewide protests against the Congress government.

The protest call was jointly given by BRS Working President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) , senior leaders, Legislative Council Opposition Leader Madhusudhana Chary , former ministers T. Srinivas Yadav , Sabitha Indra Reddy , and Padma Rao Goud , along with MLAs and former MLCs. They alleged that the Congress government was indulging in political vendetta against KCR.

The BRS said issuing notices under the guise of an SIT probe amounted to a direct attack on democratic values and the dignity of Telangana’s people . The party asserted that the action was aimed at discrediting KCR rather than pursuing justice.

As part of the agitation, effigy burnings will be held in over 12,000 villages, along with motorcycle rallies, black-flag demonstrations, dharnas, and road blockades at municipal and constituency headquarters to create public awareness.

Party leaders have been instructed to stay in their respective districts and ensure the protests are conducted peacefully and without confrontation with the police. The BRS said it would continue its fight for Telangana’s self-respect .

With large-scale protests expected, police have been put on alert across the state to prevent any untoward incidents.
