BRS Condemns Congress Assaults, Submits Petition to Cyberabad Police
BRS leaders have approached Cyberabad Police Commissioner Ramesh Reddy , lodging a formal complaint over attacks by Congress party workers on BRS campaigners during the municipal election drive.
The delegation included BRS district president Shambhipur Raju , former minister and MLA Mallareddy, MLA Vivekananda, MLC Dasoju Shravan Kumar, and party leader Ragidi Lakshmareddy. They demanded that strict action be taken against Congress district president Vajresh Yadav.
Former minister Mallareddy alleged that while BRS members were campaigning on Friday, some Congress workers deliberately tried to create disturbances. He claimed that a large number of Congress activists gathered outside the BRS office, provoking clashes , and that loud music from Congress campaign vehicles further disrupted the campaign. Attempts to question the agitators reportedly escalated the tension.
Mallareddy also criticized that Vajresh Yadav’s supporters attacked BRS workers despite the presence of police, and no immediate action was taken. He alleged that, without armed security, the BRS members could have faced even more serious attacks.
The BRS leaders called for a full investigation into the incident and urged authorities to take strict action against those responsible.
