

Bright Futures Begin in Government Schools, Says MLA Surendra Babu
Government schools are emerging as strong alternatives to private institutions by delivering quality education and impressive academic results , Kalyandurg MLA Amilineni Surendra Babu said on Wednesday. He urged parents to enroll their children in government schools while participating in the “Badi Pilustondi” awareness programme held in Ward No. 7 of Kalyandurg town.
The MLA said the Andhra Pradesh government has been focusing on improving public education through better infrastructure and student welfare measures. Under the ‘Sarvepalli Radhakrishna Vidyamitra Kit’ , students are receiving textbooks, uniforms and footwear, while nutritious meals are being served through the ‘Dokka Seethamma Mid-Day Meal Scheme’ .
Highlighting welfare initiatives, he said the ‘Talliki Vandanam’ scheme is providing financial assistance to eligible families and encouraging children to continue their studies.
In a key announcement, Surendra Babu said free bicycles would be distributed within the next three months to students studying in Classes 9, 10 and Intermediate through the SRC Trust to help them commute easily to schools and colleges.
Around 20 children were newly admitted during the programme. The MLA called upon teachers to nurture students’ talents and appealed to parents to make use of the ongoing admissions drive.
