Brahmanandam breaks silence on photo snub with Errabelli Dayakar Rao at Mohan Babu’s 50-year film tribute
Veteran Telugu comedian Brahmanandam has clarified a recent incident with former minister and BRS leader Errabelli Dayakar Rao that stirred discussions online. During the interaction, Brahmanandam appeared to refuse taking a photo with Errabelli, despite their reported 30-year friendship. Addressing the situation, Brahmanandam explained that his response was entirely playful and not intended to offend.
“I have a 30-year relationship with Dayakar Rao garu. We’re good friends, like family. We were just talking like that for fun. Some people misinterpreted it,” Brahmanandam said. He added that the two had laughed together afterward and that there was no animosity between them.
The actor’s clarification highlights that the moment was a lighthearted exchange between long-time friends. Brahmanandam’s remarks underscore how casual interactions can be misunderstood when shared widely, but he assured everyone that his friendship with Errabelli Dayakar Rao remains strong and intact.
The interaction took place during Mohan Babu’s 50 years in the film industry celebration, held on Saturday at a star hotel in Jubilee Hills. The grand event brought together a constellation of film stars, including Superstar Rajinikanth, Nani, Jackie Shroff, Sundeep Kishan, Ali, Aadi Saikumar, and Brahmanandam, as well as industry stalwarts like Allu Aravind and Suresh Babu. Political figures, including former Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu, were also present. Mohan Babu attended with his wife Nirmala Devi, daughter Lakshmi Manchu, and son Vishnu Manchu, who organized much of the evening.
