Botsa Flags Growing Lawlessness in Andhra Pradesh

Former minister and senior YSRCP leader Botsa Satyanarayana launched a scathing attack on the TDP-led NDA government , alleging that corruption, land encroachments, and lawlessness have increased ever since it assumed power in the state. He claimed that even before completing two years in office , the state has fallen behind in all sectors , leading to widespread public dissatisfaction with the government.

Botsa unfurled the national flag during Republic Day celebrations held at the YSRCP central office in Tadepalli on Monday. Speaking to the media on the occasion, he strongly criticised the functioning of the coalition government .

Constitutional Institutions Being Weakened

Accusing Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu of undermining constitutional institutions , Botsa said civil liberties are being suppressed and media freedom curtailed , creating an atmosphere of fear .

“ Violations of the law have become routine in the state. Democratic values are being eroded , and governance is being carried out arbitrarily , sidelining the Constitution ,” he remarked.

Law and Order in Disarray

Botsa alleged that the law and order situation in the state has completely deteriorated , with the police system under political pressure . He claimed that certain officials have become tools of the ruling party , foisting false cases on innocent people .

“Those entrusted with protecting citizens are instead instilling fear ,” he said.

He further accused coalition leaders of large-scale land grabbing , alleging that valuable government lands are being handed over to corporate interests and loyalists . Rampant corruption , he said, has severely affected the poor, marginalised, and weaker sections of society.

Recalling the YSRCP government’s tenure (2019–2024) , Botsa said welfare and development progressed hand in hand under the leadership of Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy . He claimed that every manifesto promise was implemented , setting a national benchmark . However, he alleged that the present coalition government is dismantling welfare systems .

Botsa asserted that the YSRCP will continue its struggle to realise the ideals of YSR and called upon party cadres to unite against the government’s misrule . He concluded that the state’s progress depends on Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy returning as Chief Minister .
