Boat’s new soundbars: Bass, Brilliance, Atmos

Indian audio brand boAt has further strengthened its home audio portfolio with the launch of two new Dolby Atmos-enabled soundbars, the Aavante Prime 6250DA and 7050DA, priced from ₹21,999. Designed for immersive, cinema-style audio, these soundbars target consumers seeking high-quality home entertainment experiences without premium pricing.

The Aavante Prime 6250DA delivers a peak output of 625W, while the 7050DA offers 700W, providing higher wattage and more enveloping sound compared to boAt’s earlier Aavante models, such as the 6000 and 6500 series, which had lower peak output and fewer advanced features. Shyam Vedantam, Chief Product Officer at boAt, stated that the focus was not only on loudness but also on producing “rich, lifelike audio” with multidimensional soundscapes and deep bass.

Both new models include wireless rear satellite speakers, enabling flexible placement and enhanced surround sound. They also support multiple connectivity options, including Bluetooth, HDMI-eARC, USB, and optical inputs, offering compatibility across a wide range of devices. The proprietary “Signature Sound” tuning enhances bass and clarity, while Dolby Atmos provides multidimensional audio previously available mainly in premium home theatre setups.

Compared with earlier Aavante models, these new soundbars deliver significantly higher wattage, advanced surround sound with wireless rear speakers, and better connectivity options. Earlier versions primarily focused on basic soundbar functions with wired speakers and lacked full Dolby Atmos support. The 6250DA and 7050DA mark a notable step up in performance and immersive audio experience for home users.

The timing of the launch, just before the festive sales season, underscores boAt’s strategy to capture the growing demand for high-quality audio in India, especially among streaming, movie, and gaming enthusiasts. By offering premium features at competitive prices, boAt aims to make cinema-like audio more accessible to Indian households.
