BlackRock to JPMorgan: Sitharaman Meets Global Investment Giants, Discusses India’s Growth Prospects

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Friday held a roundtable meeting with senior representatives of leading global investment firms in Singapore, highlighting India’s economic resilience and discussing opportunities to attract greater foreign investment amid global uncertainties.

The meeting brought together major financial players, including BlackRock, JPMorgan, PIMCO, Carlyle, Temasek, Citadel, Millennium Partners, Brevan Howard, Deutsche Bank and the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), according to the Finance Ministry.

Discussions focused on India’s economic outlook amid volatile oil prices, geopolitical tensions and shifting global economic conditions. The participants also exchanged views on the opportunities and challenges emerging from rapid advances in artificial intelligence (AI), which are reshaping financial markets, investment strategies and business operations worldwide.

Sitharaman discussed India’s macroeconomic fundamentals, the performance and prospects of its financial markets, and measures to deepen market participation and attract more foreign capital into Indian assets.
