BLACKPINK’s new era begins: ‘Deadline’ EP set for global release

K-pop sensation BLACKPINK is set to return as a full group with the release of its new mini-album, Deadline , following the conclusion of the group’s massive Deadline World Tour earlier this year.

The tour, which began in South Korea in mid-2025 and ended in Hong Kong in January 2026, featured more than 30 sold-out shows across Asia, Europe and North America, reaffirming the quartet’s global popularity. New songs previewed during the concerts offered fans an early glimpse into the group’s next musical direction.

Deadline will include five tracks exploring themes of confidence and transformation, with the title song expected to showcase a darker, more mature sound while retaining BLACKPINK’s signature pop and hip-hop style. The EP reunites Jisoo , Jennie , Rosé and Lisa after a period focused on solo projects in music, fashion and acting.

Teaser visuals released this week present a sleek, minimalist concept that has fueled online discussion and driven strong pre-order demand worldwide.

Adding a cultural dimension to the comeback, the group has partnered with the National Museum of Korea for a limited exhibition linked to the Deadline era, featuring immersive art and audio experiences narrated by the members.

Scheduled for global release later this month, Deadline is widely expected to become one of the most significant K-pop releases of 2026, marking a new chapter for BLACKPINK after their record-breaking world tour.
