BJP to Launch ‘Rythu Gosa – BJP Bharosa’ Outreach Yatra Across Telangana From Today

The Telangana unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party is set to launch its statewide ‘Rythu Gosa – BJP Bharosa’ yatra from Monday to highlight what it calls the Congress government’s “betrayal” of farmers in the state.

Ahead of the campaign, a key review meeting was held at the BJP state office on Sunday under the leadership of BJP Legislature Party leader Aleti Maheshwar Reddy . Senior party leaders and representatives of the Kisan Morcha attended the meeting to finalise the programme schedule and strategy.

Addressing the gathering, Maheshwar Reddy alleged that the Congress government was misleading people over paddy procurement figures. He claimed that the government’s assertion that nearly 80 per cent of grain procurement had been completed was “far from reality”, arguing that actual procurement on the ground was significantly lower.

He said the yatra was being organised to stand by distressed farmers and expose the difficulties being faced by cultivators, particularly in the procurement of paddy and maize crops . BJP leaders and workers are expected to visit procurement centres, interact directly with farmers and assess the issues affecting them during the three-day campaign.

The BJP leader further accused the state government of failing to ensure smooth procurement operations and said the party would continue to raise farmers’ concerns at the grassroots level.

Several senior BJP leaders, including MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy , MLC Malka Komaraiah , and party state general secretary Dr N. Goutham Rao , along with state office-bearers and Kisan Morcha representatives, participated in the preparatory meeting.
