The BJP has questioned the Congress government’s decision to celebrate 1,000 days in office in Telangana, asking what major achievements the administration has delivered under Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.

BJP state chief spokesperson and media in-charge N.V. Subhash said the Congress should first explain whether it had fully implemented any of the six guarantees promised to voters before celebrating its time in power.

Taking a swipe at the government, Subhash said the Congress administration’s tenure risked being remembered as a period of “1,000 excuses, 1,000 lies and 1,000 deceptions” rather than one defined by the fulfilment of its promises.

He also raised questions over the government’s commitment to fill one lakh government jobs by June 2026. While the administration has claimed that around 70,000 posts have been filled so far, Subhash asked why the target had not been achieved within the promised timeframe.

The BJP leader further alleged that several farmers were still waiting for benefits linked to crop loans and other welfare assistance. He said announcing welfare measures was not enough and that the real test of governance was ensuring benefits reached every eligible beneficiary.

Subhash also criticised the implementation of some of the Congress government’s flagship welfare schemes. Although free RTC travel for women had been introduced, he alleged that the programme had added financial pressure on the state-run transport corporation, which was already facing economic challenges.

He further questioned the status of the promised Rs 2,500 monthly financial assistance for eligible women, asking why the scheme was not being implemented consistently.

Referring to earlier comments by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Telangana’s financial position, Subhash said the public was seeking accountability and delivery, rather than publicity campaigns or anniversary celebrations.
