BJP strategizes intensely for Jubilee hills by-poll

All major political parties are strategizing intensely for the upcoming Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election in Greater Hyderabad. The BJP, keen on reclaiming its past influence in Telangana, has taken this by-poll as a prestige issue. While the party appears quiet on the surface, behind the scenes it is moving strategically, energizing its cadres and running a ‘silent campaign’ aimed squarely at victory.

Secret Meetings and Special Committees Telangana BJP president Ramachander Rao is personally overseeing the Jubilee Hills by-election. Party sources reveal that he recently held a crucial meeting with a monitoring committee to discuss campaign strategies, booth-level activities, and candidate selection.

Monitoring Committee The BJP high command has formed a strong monitoring committee comprising MP Raghunandan Rao, MLA Payal Shankar, Garikapati Mohan Rao, Chintal Ramachandar Reddy, and Gautam Rao. This committee is reviewing party activities in the constituency on an ongoing basis.

Silent Operation BJP cadres are campaigning quietly, almost “under the radar,” similar to “water flowing under the bow.” Booth-level committees have been set up to organize local meetings in every colony. Lanka Deepak Reddy, Hyderabad District BJP president and a previous candidate from the constituency, closely supervises party programs and enjoys strong backing from central minister Kishan Reddy’s camp, making him confident of securing the ticket. Keerthi Reddy, a senior party leader aligned with Kishan Reddy, is seeking a chance under the women’s quota, highlighting both her financial strength and the importance of women’s representation. Aakula Vijaya, a BC woman leader and former Women’s Morcha president with solid party connections, is pushing for BC representation, especially since the Congress may field a BC candidate, and she has support from several state leaders. VeraPanei Padma, an active BJP woman leader, has expressed her willingness to contest if given a ticket. Meanwhile, the name of actress Jayasudha has also emerged on social media, with reports that she recently met BJP president Ramachander Rao; netizens have reacted with mixed opinions, questioning the possibility of a celebrity receiving the party ticket.
